A 6-year-old boy and his father were killed during an armed attack by men on a motorcycle in Santander

Shock in Sabana de Torres, Santander, after a tragic armed attack that occurred on the night of Saturday, August 23. The attack, perpetrated by two men on a motorcycle, resulted in the death of two people, including a 6-year-old boy and his father, Eider Alexis Jiménez. According to information, the attackers arrived and fired indiscriminately.

The incident also left four people injured. Eider’s wife, Olga Judith Cadena Salas, 25, was shot in the left arm. In addition, two children, aged 8 and 10, were seriously injured and were taken to the University Hospital of Santander for urgent medical attention.

The mayor of Sabana de Torres, Darío Buchenicow, regretted what happened and requested collaboration in the investigation of the attack. “We regret the death of two people, in which a child is involved and three people are injured. We invite the community to report anything suspicious they see in our municipality,” said the local leader.

Local authorities are continuing their investigations to identify and capture those responsible for this act of violence that has shocked the community. The population of Sabana de Torres is waiting for answers and justice for this tragic event that has left a deep wound in the heart of the town.
