A 2-year-old boy drowned on the afternoon of December 25 while bathing with his father in a stream, located in the Quebrada Honda sector, in Guanare, Portuguesa state.
According to the official report, the victim was bathing with his father but he fell asleep in the water and the unfortunate accident occurred.
Some of those present at the scene realized the situation and woke up the minor’s father, identified as Abelardo Hernández, 47 years old. When they searched for the child, they found him without vital signs.
Officials from the Criminal Investigation Service of the Portuguese Police, Civil Protection and the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) went to the site, were in charge of removing the body and began the investigations.
The minor’s body was transferred to the Miguel Oráa hospital for the legal autopsy.
