Max Strus got all of his 16 points in the fourth period, Tyler Herro was the game’s top scorer with 29 as a reserve, and the miami heat beat Tuesday 105-98 at Detroit Pistons.
Strus, who played in the second half after Jimmy Butler left with a sprained ankle, scored 13 points in a 2:55 stretch of the fourth quarter. He thus helped Miami’s comeback.
Bam Adebayo finished with 16 points, also for the Heat.
Herro had the main shot of the night for Miami, a 3-pointer that gave him a five-point lead, with 1:59 remaining.
Jerami Grant led Detroit with 22 points. Isaiah Livers scored 16, while Bagley III and Saddiq Bey each had 13 for the Pistons, who closed out the third quarter on a 19-0 run to scare the Eastern Conference leaders.
