A stray bullet took the life of a teenager, only 13 years old, as he went up to the roof of his house to cool off, in the Cansino II sector, Santo Domingo Este municipality.
This is Carlos Josué Méndez Fulcars, whose body was found early this Monday on the roof of his residence located in the aforementioned sector, presenting a gunshot wound to the head that he received after a violent incident linked to a vehicular conflict, originating in the vicinity.
The National Police and the Public Ministry They investigate the incident.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred after an argument between two men identified as Maicol Rafael González de León, 34 years old, currently a fugitive, and Ricardo Alejandro Tejeda Martínez, 40 years old, who is in police custody.
The conflict, according to reports, began at a fast food stand in the Bello Campo sector, where González allegedly hit a customer’s truck with his vehicle, which led to an exchange of words and then shots.
In the investigative process, which includes security camera surveys, the aim is to establish the people who used firearms.
The reports, pending verification, indicate that González (fugitive) fired shots while trying to flee the scene, while Tejeda (detained) responded with his firearm, which he legally possesses.
The National Police reported that all resources are being exhausted to locate the fugitive and completely clarify the circumstances of the case.
