The department of Santa Cruz this Monday presented the highest number of the month in terms of infections, with 1,097 positive cases of Covid-19, distributed in 37 municipalities, with Santa Cruz de la Sierra being the most affected with 936 cases.
Carlos Hurtado, head of Epidemiology at Headquarters, even went further and realized that today’s figure is the highest number that did not show up 5 months ago in the department.
The 1,097 positive cases are distributed as follows: Santa Cruz with 936 new infections, Montero with 22, Vallegrande 15, La Guardia 11, Warnes 10 and Cotoca, El Torno, Mineros with 8 cases, San Javier and San Pedro with 5. , Buena Vista, Cabezas, Saavedra and Puerto Suárez 4, Colpa Belgica, San Ignacio, San Julián, San Rafael with 3 cases, Camiri, Concepción, Cuatro Cañadas, Gutiérrez, Mairana, Moro Moro, Pampa Grande, Portachuelo, Roboré, San Carlos , San José, San Matías with 2 and Boyuibe, El Carmen, Charagua, Fernández Alonso, Okinawa and Yapacaní with 1 case.
Likewise, he pointed out that 787 patients beat the virus and no deaths had to be regretted due to Covid-19, thanks to mass vaccination in the city and provinces.
He added that in the Intensive Care Units there are 21 people hospitalized and 14 are attached to a respirator fighting for his life.
On the other hand, 4,163 people attended the different vaccination points this day enabled in search of the dose against the virus.
