In statements to the BBC Sunday Morning programWalsh said that oil prices have soared at a time when economies are recovering from the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, so the costs will be passed on to consumers.
In that sense, he explained that tourists should prepare for the increase in flight prices. “Flying will be more expensive for consumers, without a doubt”, he asserted. The executive added that thehigh oil price” I know “will reflect in higher ticket prices”.
