The Civil Police of Paraná investigates the death of municipal guard Marcelo Aloizio de Arruda, killed in Foz do Iguaçu last Saturday (9). “He and federal criminal police officer Jorge Jose da Rocha Guaranho had a falling out during Arruda’s birthday party. The two were shot,” the state’s Public Security Department said in a statement.
According to the statement, Guaranho remains hospitalized in serious condition. “Images are being analyzed and witnesses are being heard. The Scientific Police are working on the expert procedure that will help to clarify the facts and the Police Inquiry reported and forwarded to justice”, concluded the secretary. The Justice determined today (11) the preventive detention of the criminal police officer.
Marcelo Aloizio de Arruda was treasurer of the PT and was a candidate for vice-mayor of Foz do Iguaçu in the last elections.
In a press conference yesterday (10), the delegate of the Civil Police of Paraná Iane Cardoso reported that the corporation was called around 11 pm, when the two victims had already been treated and taken to the hospital.
