Gabriel Fernández Secco is the virtual new president of Conaprole. This Friday the 10th, the official 1010 list – which he headed – achieved 612 votes out of a total of 1,386 cast, surpassing the votes obtained by the opposition currents, the 489 votes for Option 2021 and the 156 votes for the 1936 List.

The confirmation depends on what happens with the observed votes, which were 129. The difference between the lists in the votes is 123 in favor of List 1010 with respect to Option 2021. Therefore, for the ruling party to lose the election, it would have to lose practically all (124) the observed votes.

The winning list will correspond, as indicated by the cooperative’s statutes, four of the five positions (president, vice president and two of the three remaining directors) in the Board of Directors that will be in charge of the main exporting company in the country for five years.

The remaining position of director corresponds to the list located in second place, Option 2021, headed by Álvaro Lapido as a candidate for president, who is shaping up to join the new Board of Directors as the fifth member.

The 1936 List, which in the last periods of government had been occupying a position in the Directory as an opposition, was third in the vote and this time it will not have representation. His candidate for president was Alessio Ortolani.

In the 1,386 votes, there were also two blank and two annulled.
