A yellow alert for storms of varying intensity was launched this Sunday morning for the city of Buenos Aires and different areas of the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos and Santa Fe.
The notice from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) warns that some of these storms can become locally strong. In this framework, “it is expected that they will be accompanied mainly by hail and gusts”, and “intense fall of water in short periods” is not ruled out.
Likewise, “accumulated precipitation values between 15 and 40 mm are expected, and may be exceeded locally.”
The SMN alert covers CABA, north, center and southeast of Buenos Aires, and south of Entre Ríos and Santa Fe.
