Venezuela condemns attack against former Japanese prime minister

Venezuela condemned the attack against the former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, who died this Friday after being shot during an electoral campaign event, held in Nara.

Through a statement, the National Government expressed its condolences to the family of the former prime minister, as well as to the people of Japan and “reaffirms its historic position regarding the condemnation of violence, in all its forms, and manifestations.”

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe He passed away this Friday at the age of 67. as a result of a bullet wound he received in the neck, when he was giving a speech at an electoral campaign event held in the city of Nara, in the west of the country.

Japan’s public broadcaster NHKciting Liberal Democratic Party sources, has confirmed the news of Abe’s death.

hours before, the Prime Minister of JapanFumio Kishida, had indicated that he was in critical condition, and had undergone emergency treatment.
