More than S/ 190 million will be invested by the Social Health Security in the construction of three modern hospitals in Puno that will benefit almost 30,000 insured persons of the Juliaca Assistance Network, as announced by the executive president of EsSalud, Alegre Fonseca Espinoza.
“The three future hospital infrastructures will have hospital beds, outpatient clinics, surgical roomsemergency areas, obstetric center, laboratory and other essential services for the health care of the insured population of the high plateau region”, said Fonseca during his tour of the province of Lampa.
Where will the hospitals be built?
According to the entity, the first hospital will be built on a 5,000-square-meter plot of land, located in the Ayaviri district, which was donated by the Provincial Municipality of Melgar. There will be a investment of S/ 50 million.
In order for said hospital to be level II-1, the mayor of said municipality, Esteban Álvarez, promised to donate an additional 3,000 meters.
Another of the hospitals will be built in an extensive area of 8,000 square meters, located in the Peña Dorada neighborhood, in the province of Azángaro. This hospital is also projected to be level II-1. S/ 50 million will be allocated and the work will benefit more than 12 thousand insured.
Meanwhile, a level I-4 and Mental Health hospital will be built on a 17,000-square-meter piece of land located in the province of Lampa. For this there will be a investment of 90 million soles for the benefit of more than 4,000 policyholders.
