The Police, at the service of the Daniel Ortega regime, presented this Saturday, July 9, to Ernesto Caleb Rocha Third, 24 years old, author of the femicide against the young Karen Monserrat Blandón Blend, 21 years old. The crime occurred in the Carlos Fonseca neighborhood, in district five in Managua.
The information from the police institution came after it became known that the Honduran police authorities had captured the subject on Friday, July 8, when he was trying to flee from Nicaragua towards the United States.

At a press conference, Commissioner Victoriano Ruiz Urbina reported that photographs of the “fugitive criminal (…) had already circulated and alerted border police posts, the international airport and bus terminals about the search.
In the recount of the investigations, Ruiz Urbina reported that the Hyundai brand vehicle, license plate CZ15133, in which the femicide was mobilized, was located in the Pilas Orientales region of Masaya.
«The criminal Ernesto Caleb Rocha Tercero, after committing the crime, left Nicaragua through an unauthorized point towards the Republic of Honduras. The National Police notified the international police organization and Interpol Honduras and requested cooperation from the authorities for the location, capture, and delivery of the criminal,” he explained.
They also report that this Saturday at the El Guasaule border post, department of Chinandega, the Honduran authorities handed over Rocha Tercero, captured in Agua Caliente, from the municipality of Santa Fe, in the department of Ocotepeque of the neighboring country. “Criminals and evidence will be forwarded to the competent authorities,” the official statement concluded.

The tragedy that left a six-month-old girl an orphan occurred in the Carlos Fonseca neighborhood, in Managua, around 9:00 in the morning. Witnesses assure that the young woman had just returned to her house and was breastfeeding her daughter when she was attacked by her ex-partner.
“Caleb arrived in his white car, entered the house and without saying a word shot the girl in the neck, while she was carrying her girl and breastfeeding her,” they said.
The alleged femicide would have shot Karen Blandón because she had ended her romantic relationship with him and was not willing to return, relatives of the victim told the media.
Blandón, who joins the growing list of victims of femicide, was a manicurist and specialized in doing acrylic nail work. The family of the young mother has demanded justice for the perpetrator of the crime.
