Cesar Astudillo rejected the statements of Hannibal Torres and said he doesn’t think it was a misunderstanding or an outburst. “I do not think that this is an outburst by Aníbal Torres. I believe that he considers it that way no matter how many tweets he gets out.”
He indicated that the premier cannot confuse the concepts of each institution that have given their lives for Peruvians in the fight against terrorism.

At another point he said that President Pedro Castillo should not overlook this affront.
“Everything has a limit, the president is called to correct it, the president cannot ignore this affront. I completely reject those expressions. The Armed Forces are at the service of the State of the Nation, they are constitutionally created forces and the Constitution has shaped them. (…) This gentleman cannot come to belittle them and ignore them, who have left many of their best deceased elements massacred tortured by terrorist insanity, that is something that is not clear to him “he added.
