The average value of gasoline in the last three weeks fell by R$ 0.90 in the country, reversing the upward trend that had been occurring since the beginning of the year. The state with the lowest average value of a liter of regular gasoline in the last week is Amapá, at R$ 5.54. The state with the highest average value is Piauí, with R$ 7.25.
The data are part of the weekly survey carried out by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), published on its website. The cheapest liter of gasoline found by the agency, in the week between July 3 and 9, was R$ 5.22, in Amapá, in the capital Macapá. The most expensive liter of gasoline in the researched period was R$ 8.52, in Ceará, in the city of Crateús.
In the state of São Paulo, the highest value of the liter of gasoline found was in the city of Barueri, at 7.99. The lowest price was in the city of Matão and the capital São Paulo, at R$ 5.38. In Rio de Janeiro, the most expensive gasoline is sold in the municipalities of Maricá and São Francisco de Itabapoana, at R$7.99. The cheapest liter is also sold in Maricá, at R$ 5.69. The discrepancies show the importance of researching, as prices vary greatly in the same city.
In the Federal District, the minimum price of gasoline is R$ 5.79. The maximum is R$ 6.59. Both are practiced in the capital Brasília. Even lower or higher prices can be found across the country, at stations that were not part of the ANP survey.
