The Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that in the world there are 268,226,615 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 and 5,298,086 deaths for a 2% lethality to date.
In Panama until this Thursday, December 9, 480,090 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 are reported, of which 189 are new cases. In the last 24 hours there was one deceased for a cumulative of 7,382 deaths and a fatality of 1.5%.
The cases of recovered persons amounted to 469,690, of which 259 were newly recovered. 4,032 tests were applied in the last 24 hours for a positivity of 4.6%.
Active cases total 3,018, of which 2,907 are in home isolation and 111 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 2,814 at home and 93 in hotels. There are 96 hospitalized in the ward and 15 in the ICU.
