Since last July 1, the now 12 interest rates for purchases with credit cards were renewed and updated to 3, 6, 12, 18 and up to 24 installments in more than 30 items.
Additionally, as of today, the program incorporated medical equipment products so that citizens can buy them with the financing offered by the now 12according to the Ministry of Domestic Trade.
The portfolio stated that the Government incorporated the item to the now 12 in April 2020 -in the context of the coronavirus pandemic-, which allowed the acquisition of electrocardiographs, defibrillators, monitors, scales and other items, but now other products have been added.
Among them are: respiratory therapy equipment (such as oxygen therapy machines and nebulizers), wheelchairs, and orthoticsincluding prosthetics for amputees, custom shells and orthoses, shoe inserts, custom corsets, walkers, canes and crutches.
Orthopedic beds, bath aids, bath chairs, transfer chairs and grab bars can also be purchased, in addition to the other lines of the campaign.
All these products can be purchased physically or virtually at the stores participating in the program, in 3, 6, 12, 18 and up to 24 installments, depending on the needs of each consumer. However, the maximum funding limit for the item will be $200,000.
From the Secretariat they pointed out that “the incorporation of these products was a request from various chambers and representative business associations of sectors linked to the industrial development of health products.”
What other products can be purchased with Now 12
The program The following items remain valid: Appliances, appliances, computers, notebooks, tablets, mattresses, furniture, construction materials and tools, bicycles, clothing and footwear.
Likewise, the maximum interest that businesses can charge, depending on the number of installments is:
- 5.39% for 3 installments.
- 10.82% for 6 installments.
- 22.22% for 12 installments.
- 40.53% for 18 installments.
- 55.85% for 24 installments.
