Trujillo: they grant a scholarship to a girl who studied under cardboard while her father worked washing cars (VIDEO)

Little María Rosa, 5 years old, who went viral on social networks after a photo was spread in which she was studying under cardboard in full sun while her father worked washing cars on Av. América Oeste, near the Papal oval, in Trujillo, received a scholarship so that she can begin her studies.

“Here I have implemented a small table with a piece of cardboard because it is quite sunny here. She is there, she waits for her to finish work”, told his father José Gonzales, 42 years old.

“I wash carts out there to earn S/1.00, to pay for food because I am not from here and I pay a room. Here I sometimes earn S/30, S/20, S/25, depending on the client who sometimes gives me, sometimes doesn’t. Waiting for the will of the people.” he added.

It was the Trujillo Charity Society that, after learning of the case, decided to grant the little girl a comprehensive scholarship so that she could start her studies at the Hermanos Blanco school.

“I contacted the general manager to be able to approve a comprehensive scholarship for the girl where she is completely exempt from tuition, pensions, and has also been granted uniform, sweatshirt and school supplies through private companies”, said Fernando Calderón, general manager of IEP Hermanos Blanco.

For his part, the general manager of the Charity of Trujillo indicated that the father of the minor was also supported by providing him with a stable job. “We are also supporting her daddy, who will work right here so that he can watch over his daughter and be closer to her. He’s going to be our watchman.”

Meanwhile, María Rosa revealed that she dreams of being a lawyer or a doctor one day. Her father, who is solely responsible for her, is very happy and grateful for the opportunity that has been given to her little girl, because when they were in the jungle, I couldn’t put her in school.
