Internacional showed strength by advancing to the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana after beating Colo-Colo (Chile) 4-1, on Tuesday night (5) at the Beira Rio stadium. Colorado’s ranking was all the more special because it was achieved after a 2-0 loss in the first round of the Round of 16.

Even supported by more than 40 thousand fans, the team led by coach Mano Menezes saw the Chilean team open the scoring in the 14th minute of the first half with a penalty taken by Gabriel Costa.
However, Colorado did not let up and managed to turn it around even before the break, thanks to goals from Alan Patrick, at 28, and Edenílson, at 31.

With the advantage on the scoreboard, Internacional took control of the game and managed to score twice in the final stage (with Alemão, at 14, and with Pedro Henrique, at 28) to guarantee a historic classification.
