Red Flag indicated that they will continue to fight on the side of the interests of “the impoverished majorities, of the workers, of the workers who demand better conditions of” life, well-being, progress and democracy “
political organization Red Flag (BR) denounced this Monday, July 4, the arbitrary arrest, by the State security forces, of one of its militants. It is about Alcides Bracho, who in his Twitter account defines himself as a teacher, plastic artist and militant of the political group.
Through the same social network, the organization specified that officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), without showing any search document, took Bracho out of his residence “under the accusation of having used in the events of the year 2014 and 2017 in which an immense part of the national population was present, now in 2022 they accuse him of being a terrorist”.
They also pointed out that police officials “stole different electronic and communication devices.”
In the same way, Red flag reported that, according to statements made by Bracho’s wife, they had taken him to the Sebin headquarters in La Quebradita. In addition, he indicates that he is prohibited from visiting his relatives.
Likewise, he blamed the Maduro regime for what may happen to Professor Bracho.
“This is a renewed repressive raid against Red Flag every time, dusting off an old case. In addition to this outrage, they raid the home of José Castro in Ocumare del Tuy, also a member of Bandera Roja,” the party denounced.

From BR they assured that there is no reason for this arbitrariness, “other than to extend the arm of repression against the people and their revolutionary, democratic and popular organizations.”
“They seek to silence the popular protest in the face of the new wave initiated by the elderly and that now tends to generalize and bring together more and more sectors, with the aim of forming a great national front of struggles to defeat the hunger and terrorist policy,” they said.
Finally, they indicated that they will continue to fight on the side of the interests of “the impoverished majorities, of the workers, of the workers and the creators of wealth, of the young people thrown into abandonment, of the indigenous people thrown out of their lands, of the overexploited women and citizens” who demand better conditions of “life, well-being, progress and democracy”.
