The Norte Grande Regional Council will meet again on Tuesday Formosa, where the 11th Assembly of Governors of that space will be held, which will be attended by the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur; and the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro; and that it will have an agenda with several central issues for the development of the economies of those provinces and industrial production.
The new appointment will be on Tuesday from 9 at the Howard Johnson hotel in the Formosan capital -at Gutnisky 3754-, where the host governor, Gildo Insfranand the president of the Council of the Great North, Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero), summoned the remaining eight leaders that make up that group that brings together Peronists, allies of the Front of All (FdT) and radicals of Together for Change (JxC ).
In addition, sources close to Manzur and De Pedro confirmed to Télam the presence of both at the 11th meeting of the Norte Grande, which, according to different advisers, will be marked by the problem of lack of diesel in various provinces and for which several governors -official and opposition- have already expressed their discomfort.
For this reason, one of the items on the agenda – to which this agency was able to access – is precisely the “Problematic issue of fuel and gas quotas.”
They also included in the discussion table the situation of the NEA Region Gas Pipeline; the advances in the plan for the generation of 1,000 megabytes within the framework of a program of greater electrical energy for that region; the creation of a Federal Regional Infrastructure Trust Fund and the progress of Logistics Strategy Plan of the Norte Grande.
On the agenda, the first point to be discussed by the leaders is the organization of a trade mission to the United States, after having made a tour of the United Arab Emirates a few weeks ago. On this occasion, a videoconference will be held to advance the organization with the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Jorge Arguello. In this regard, the possibility of forming an agency for the promotion of investments and foreign trade of the Argentine Great North will be analyzed.
In addition, there will be debate on a draft law Promotional Regime for the Promotion of Sportsgeneric drugs and will review the progress of the Investment Guarantee law initiative.
Among other topics, the first exhibition of the Norte Grande will also be launched in September, which will be at the Gala de Resistencia Convention Center, from the 8th to the 11th of that month.
The Expo Norte Grande in Chaco will have the representation of the 10 provinces that make up the region so that they can exhibit their industry, commerce, culture and productive development.
This exhibition was proposed by the Chaco governor, Jorge Captainichand approved at the 10th assembly held on May 27 in Tucumán capital.
In this period between the last assembly and that of next Tuesday, the governors of the FdT participated in several meetings in Casa Rosada, in Congress and also launched the League of Governors in a formal meeting in Chaco, but in addition the creation of of the Parliament of the Great North.
On June 23 last, the deputy governors of the 10 provinces signed the act of expansion of the Parliament of the NOA (Argentine Northwest) to the Parliament of the Great North, in what they considered a “historic pact” to “definitively break with the asymmetries and inequalities “.
The initiative seeks to “flag this region with a practical federalism put into action and management so that the development and progress of these regions can be translated into facts,” the officials said.
Zamora, president pro tempore of the Consultative Council of the Norte Grande, stressed that this is a space for permanent dialogue that “allows us to make problems visible” throughout the region. “In this sense, in this assembly we will continue to address the fuel and gas quota, the NEA Regional gas pipeline, advancement of the 1,000 megabytes and generic medicines,” the Santiago governor ratified in a statement.
In addition, highlighting that one of the axes of the meeting will be the Draft Law on the Promotional Regime for the Promotion of Sports and advances in the Logistics Strategy Plan of the Norte Grande, he stated that “we intend that these axes be a regional State policy, which allow us to grow together, generating spaces for development, growth, with job opportunities and promotion for our youth”.
At the same time, Manzur worked this Monday on the agenda that will take him to the assembly of governorssuch as the situation related to fuel and gas quotas, the Northeast Argentine gas pipeline (NEA) and the creation of the Investment and Foreign Trade Promotion Agency for the region.
The Norte Grande region is made up of 10 provinces whose governors are: Raúl Jalil, Catamarca; Ricardo Quintela, La Rioja; Osvaldo Jaldo, Tucuman; Gerardo Zamora, Santiago del Estero; Gustavo Saenz, Salta; Gerardo Morales, Jujuy; Gildo Insfran, Formosa; Oscar Herrera Aguad, Missions; Jorge Capitanich, Chaco, and Gustavo Valdés, Corrientes.
