The journalist, lawyer and political analyst, Rodrigo Noriega, analyzed this the speeches of the president of the National Assembly, Crispiano Adames and the president Laurentino Cortizo, last Friday at the establishment of the new directive of the legislative chamber for the fourth period of ordinary sessions .
In Noriega’s opinion, “I would give both of them a grade of zero for not contemplating even a mention of transparency.” At the same time, he indicated that the Assembly is in debt, they have to make their legal reform of their statutes and their internal regulations and they have not done it, it is a promise of Crispiano Adames, and that he has not fulfilled.
He mentioned that the Cortizo government has adopted a very convenient philosophical position with Law 81 on the Protection of Personal Data, which they are using to close access to journalists, civil society and interested parties when it is public information of the State.
“There is a spirit of opacity in the state, they are not interested in being transparent, that there is accountability or that there is access to public information,” Noriega said.
