Prosecutor Raúl Iglesias declared this Monday before an official who questioned him about the cases filed in the 4th Shift Sexual Crimes Prosecutor’s Office. The instance “it served to illuminate the dark points that the prosecution misrepresented”said to The Observer his lawyer, Marcos Pacheco.
churches proposed witnesses – among whom are lawyers, judges and prosecutors – who will appear this Thursday, also before the prosecution, added Pacheco. The hearing on Monday took place in a pleasant atmosphere, from where Iglesias and his lawyer left in agreement. Both parties left several questions in writing.
The statement was before a instructor in charge of the administrative summary that the court prosecutor, Juan Gómez, ordered against Iglesias, after the announcement of the filing of 300 cases, in a short period of time and for which he was separated from his position and the retention of 50% of his salary.
Iglesias appealed the summary and requested his reinstatement to another prosecutor’s office.
