Faced with a context in which security is a variable that is taken into account to attract investment, the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardoinformed that more actions will be carried out with the Citizen Council for Security and Justice of Mexico CityAssociation made up of the main private organizations.
During the report of 1 million actions of the Citizen Council for Security and Local Justice, the president of the capital pointed out that as an authority there will be two axes that will be addressed with businessmen to improve the quality of life of the population and make the city more attractive. city.
As a first point, he deepened, it seeks to address family violence and violence against women in the different areas, while, as a second axis, it is intended to link the Citizen Council for Security and Justice with the area of Citizen Participation of the Government of the City of Mexico.
“You know that we have Citizen Security Commissions per neighborhood and the Council is going to help us strengthen all this work of attention to the Security Commissions (…) So, it is part of the work we are doing and we are going to continue insisting and improving the security of the city”, he added.
The president of the Citizen Council for Security and Justice of Mexico City, Salvador Guerrero Cyprusexplained that from the private sector they seek to strengthen the approach model, which implies being closer to the communities, to the problems and also to comply with what is established by the Constitution of the Mexico Citywith regard to the Citizen Security Law, since 2019.
“I am accompanied by the presidents of the business chambers, who are members of the Council, including the president of the Business Coordinating Council. Our proposal is for articulation to respond to these great issues that are there among the concerns of citizens,” he added. Savior Warrior.

Situation
The president of the Citizen Council explained that from December 2018 to date they reached 1 million attentions (60% for women and 40% for men).
Of the total of 1 million, 21.3% correspond to interactions for legal support, 19.6 percent to administrative guidance, 16.9% to support for psychological care and 12.2% are attention related to extortion.
“Support for older adults is also very important in percentage terms; domestic violence; human trafficking and follow-up of cases, the latter percentages less than 10%”, she commented.
Savior Warrior reported that high-impact crimes in Mexico City were reduced by 55% in January-May 2022 compared to the same period in 2019, while intentional homicide registered a decrease of 60 percent.
