President Louis Abinaderaccompanied by Father Rogelio Cruz, delivered this Saturday 25 homes to the same number of families in Arenoso de Cevicos, who are now guaranteed a better quality of life.
During the delivery of the new houses, fully equipped, the head of state highlighted the actions of Father Rogelio in favor of the communities, and that he has contributed with the Government to fulfill the promises with efficiency and transparency.
“The best thing is to work with people who are socially committed to the people,” Abinader said when referring to the father.
Meanwhile, Father Rogelio stressed that housing is a fundamental right of every human being and that in order to resolve this deficit, only the will has been lacking.
“And that we do have a president now who is willing to solve these problems, let’s take advantage of that, as the sign says, a president who listens to the voice of the people and restores their dignity. These 25 families from this moment have dignity”, said Father Rogelio.
The president announced to the residents of Arenoso Cevicos all the works that are going to be carried out in the Sánchez Ramírez province, such as the sub-center of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in the municipality of Cotuí, the Civic Center that will house all the offices and also the multiple aqueduct that will bring solutions to the province.

Effort from the government to combat the crisis
Similarly, President Abinader reminded the community of the circumstance in which the country took office where a health crisis was sweeping the world and then the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine that has exacerbated the situation.
“Today a barrel of oil is three times more expensive, it was US$45 and today it is US$108 and we are subsidizing so as not to raise fuel prices every week,” Abinader said.
He declared that the Government is making a great effort to prevent the population from feeling the crisis in a lesser way, and made reference to those who wonder: And how are they getting the money now? “Because here we are managing it with honesty, trustworthiness, efficiency,” she pointed out.
He also said: “And that is why today the rooms pay off. We see that every penny is invested in the best way. Because that money from the people must be invested in the people and especially in those who need it”
“Count on us. This is a government for the people, for those who need it most, to try to serve and lift people out of poverty, and improve people’s quality of life,” she emphasized.
