The former Minister of Housing and former PRD legislator, Balbina Herrera, spoke this Monday, on Radio Panama, about the party that some deputies held, after the establishment of the new directive of the National Assembly for the fourth period of ordinary sessions.
In a video that has circulated on social networks since last Friday, some “fathers of the Nation” can be seen toasting and celebrating with a Macallan Double whiskey, whose price ranges from $379.95, which has sparked a series of criticisms from of citizens and netizens who assure that in this way the deputies squander the money of Panamanians.
In Herrera’s opinion, “all the speech that was given in the Assembly, on Friday morning, went to waste; and the 15 or 18 deputies who were there toasting do not look bad, the Democratic Revolutionary Party looks bad, people say ‘Of course, that’s the people of the PRD, the people who don’t work, the usual people'”.
He revealed that he is not a “fan” of the deputy and president of the parliamentary chamber, Crispiano Adames, however, he considered that his speech before the plenary session was coherent and real for the entire population. “I respect him as president, but I made a good assessment, which went away with this celebration,” he said.
