The attack committed in a shopping center in Copenhagen this Sunday caused three deaths and several injuries, three of them in critical condition, according to the Danish capital police.
The dead are a man in his 40s and two young men, Copenhagen Police Chief Inspector Søren Thomassen said. who confirmed the arrest of a person in connection with the shooting who will be questioned this Monday.
Thomassen said that the investigation of what happened has not yet allowed to specify if the detainee acted alone or if he had the collaboration of other people.

Furthermore, he admitted that he was “known” by the Police, although he did not specify more details.
The shooter had a rifle and ammunition when he was detained, the police official said. who did not reveal the reason why the detainee shot at people in the shopping center, crowded when the event occurred.
Thomassen said that although there is speculation on social networks about the motives for the attack, the police cannot yet confirm what the attacker’s intention was. Previously the police reported that they could not exclude that it was a terrorist act.

Shortly after the facts were known, the police reported that the detained person in connection with the shooting is a 22-year-old citizen of “Danish ethnicity”.
