During the Forum on Human Rights in Venezuela, the Latin American Foundation for Human Rights and Social Development (Fundalatin) highlighted the advances in technical cooperation between Venezuela and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (DD. HH.) , Michelle Bachelet.

“We hope that whoever assumes the role of High Commissioner for Human Rights as of September can continue in this direction,” the organization stressed in a message posted on its Twitter social network account, @fundalatin.

In this sense, he called on the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization (UN) to avoid parallel mechanisms that could undermine the work between the high official’s office and the Venezuelan State.

“The Council should focus on supporting the work of the Office and increasing its reach and effectiveness,” he insisted.

As a result of the update of the report on the South American nation, the Venezuelan ambassador to the Human Rights Council, Héctor Constant, welcomed the fact that the document recognizes the country’s efforts and progress in the matter, particularly in the area of ​​the administration of justice, according to the Venezuelan News Agency.
