Brazil records 27,796 cases of covid-19 and 114 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health released today (3) new figures on the covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the ministry, Brazil recorded, in 24 hours, 18,500 new cases and 53 deaths. Brazil records 18,500 new cases and 53 deaths from covid-19

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has accumulated 32.4 million confirmed cases of the disease and 671,900 deaths. Recovered cases total 30.9 million (95.1% of cases).

The state of São Paulo has the highest number of accumulated cases – 5.7 million – and 171 thousand deaths. Next are Minas Gerais (3.6 million cases and 62.1 thousand deaths); Paraná (2.6 million cases and 43.8 thousand deaths) and Rio Grande do Sul (2.5 million cases and 40 thousand deaths).

According to the survey, the states of Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and the Federal District did not update today the information on the numbers of deaths in relation to the last release.

Vaccination

According to the Ministry of Health, 450 million doses of vaccine against covid-19 have already been applied, of which 177 million (first dose); 157 million (second dose), plus 94 million (booster dose) and 10 million (second booster dose).
