The Ministry of Health reported 1,401 new cases of Covid-19, with a positivity of 2.7% in the last 24 hours at the national level, with 51,647 examinations, PCR and antigen tests.
And he confirmed that the daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 1% while six regions register a positivity equal to or less than 2%.

The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -18% and -19% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively, according to the Minsal report. Meanwhile, it states that thirteen regions decreased their new cases in the last seven days and thirteen did so in the last two weeks.
Of the 1,401 new cases, 26% were diagnosed by antigen test, 20% originated by Active Case Search (BAC) and 22% of those reported were asymptomatic. Regarding the Metropolitan Region, it presents 31% by antigen, 13% by BAC and 18% of the reported cases are asymptomatic.
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Aysén, Los Lagos, Biobío and Valparaíso. Meanwhile, the Aysén region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the Los Lagos, Atacama and Los Ríos regions.
According to today’s report, of the 1,401 new cases of Covid-19, 998 correspond to symptomatic people and 280 do not have symptoms. In addition, 123 Positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches 1,776,599. Of this total, 10,299 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 1,722,849.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 6 deaths due to causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths is 38,541 in the country.
To date, 685 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 600 are on mechanical ventilation support. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 196 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and the diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 51,647 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 26,103,609 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 2.7% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 1%.
With regard to the Health Residences, we have 47 accommodation facilities, with 4,484 total beds. The real occupation nationwide is 60%, leaving a total of 1,376 beds available to be used.
