The largest oil producer in the United States projected a quarter-over-quarter increase of between $2.5 billion and $3.3 billion from oil and gas pumping in a securities presentation that provides a summary of factors influencing the period.
Exxon posted an operating profit of $4.49 billion from oil and gas production in the first quarter.
Analysts consulted by IBES Refinitiv forecast earnings per share of $2.99, compared to $1.10 in the same quarter last year. Official results for the period will be released on July 29, according to a securities statement.
