48 years after Perón's death, the FDT remembered his figure with a message of unity

General Juan Domingo Perón died on July 1, 1974 in the exercise of his third constitutional presidency.

Officials, governors, mayors and leaders of the Frente de Todos recalled this Friday on social networks the former president and founder of the justicialist movement, Juan Domingo Perón, 48 years after his deathwith messages of unity from all sectors of Peronism and highlighted the direction of the national government’s project in the search for “a fairer society.”

With the hashtag #PéronEterno, the National Justicialist Party (PJ) – whose head is President Alberto Fernández – published on his Twitter account: “48 years after his departure, we evoke the figure of Juan Domingo Perón, who with his leadership fully interpreted the wishes of the working people and carried out an extraordinary process of transformations for the benefit of the great majority”.

Also, the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzurmaintained that “the example of our leader -Juan Perón- calls us to redouble efforts to achieve a more inclusive, fairer and more sovereign Homeland. Today and always we will remember Juan Domingo Perón”.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero affirmed that “the validity of Perón is in the doctrine, in his words and in deeds: he tirelessly promoted a real and effective continental union” and added: “Working for peace and the unity of the peoples of Latin America is a militant duty and a sincere commitment to history”.

In his turn, he Defense Minister Jorge Taianaevoked Perón’s words about the importance of unity, which must be “indestructible and infinite, so that our people not only possess happiness, but also know how to defend it with dignity.”

“On a new anniversary of his death, the General continues to guide our path,” said Taiana, while the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, stated: “Juan Perón, 48 years old. More relevant than ever.”

The Catamarca senator and vice president of the national PJ, Lucía Corpaccihighlighted that Perón was “three times president and carried out an extraordinary process of transformations for the benefit of the great majority.”

The First Vice President of the National PJ and Buenos Aires Minister, Cristina Álvarez Rodríguezstated: “48 years after his passage to immortality, his legacy guides us in the construction of a more just and equitable Argentina.”

For its part, with the label #TodosUnidos, the Governor of Formosa, Gildo Insfránsaid: “Today we pay a profound tribute to the creator of the National Justicialist Movement and transformer of our country. Always holding high the flags of economic independence, political sovereignty and social justice.”

Omar Perotti, president of Santa Festated that “always in our memory, the political leader who bequeathed us vital rights and the obligation to fight for a fairer world. We continue to raise his flags: social justice, economic independence and political sovereignty.”

Also Fernando Espinoza, mayor of La Matanzahighlighted the figure of Perón “as the driver and leader of a popular movement, he left us an unalterable legacy: prioritizing the humblest and building a country with more equality.”

The general secretary of tanners, Walter Correaquoted a phrase by Perón on foreign debt and fought for “economic independence, political sovereignty and social justice”, the three historical flags of Justicialism.

General Juan Domingo Perón died on July 1, 1974 in the exercise of his third constitutional presidency, so Vice President María Estela Martínez de Perón, his then wife, was left in charge of the National Executive.
