National Assembly repealed Francisco Fajardo Order

AN approved partial reform of the Organic Law of Public Defense

This Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) approved in the second and definitive discussion, the Repealing Law of the Francisco Fajardo Order Award, an award that extolled the process of genocidal imperial colonialism in Venezuelan lands.

The President of the Legislative Power, deputy Jorge Rodriguezdeclared the sanction invalidating the order and described the act as an act of dignity, reports the AN website.

In the plenary session, the deputies gave their yes to the elimination of this presumed award, in order to deactivate those remnants of legal instruments that have allowed praise to the Spanish conqueror and genocide, erasing the heroism of the Venezuelan ancestors.

The new law is framed in the motivational principles of the Preamble of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and the call by President Nicolás Maduro, to begin a process of decolonization and dignity of the ancestors who fought against imperial barbarism on Venezuelan soil. .

The contradictory decoration dates back to 1991, with which the conduct and actions of a genocide against the ancestral peoples were celebrated and its repeal rescues the dignity and resistance of the original peoples who faced the invader.

The president of the Permanent Commission of Domestic Policydeputy Pedro Carreño, questioned whether the extinct order was a product of the 1991 parliament to honor the memory of a genocide like Fajardo.

He announced that as of this repeal, the contest is opened for the creation of a decoration that really values and honors the work and merits of outstanding and eminent Venezuelan citizens who, for their services to science, culture and art, contributed to the development and progress of the country.
