Super Xtra and INADEH renew Cooperation Agreement for the training of personnel in retail areas

In order to promote and contribute to Panamanian education and training, Xtra Supermarkets and the National Institute of Professional Training and Training for Human Development (INADEH), renewed the Cooperation and Technical Assistance Agreement for the development of programs in the areas of logistics, customer service, management of technological tools, agribusiness, supermarket cashier, store manager, sales assistant, among others.

From 2013 to date, as a result of this alliance, 2,664 Panamanians have been trained with more than 28,580 hours of continuous training at no cost, and of these, more than 40% are part of the supermarket chain’s workforce.

“For Xtra Supermarkets, this alliance that was born in 2012 is very important because it has allowed it to deal with the hiring of qualified labor in its industry. The chain has an aggressive expansion plan and thanks to this alliance with INADEH we have been able to prepare human resources and certify them so that they can fill jobs in our stores, thus contributing to the social and economic development of the country,” said Jennitsell of Rodríguez, Vice President of Organizational and Human Development of Xtra Supermarkets.

De Rodríguez added that as part of these courses there is a Training and Simulation Center at INADEH to train more Panamanians in areas related to the retail industry and thus be able to provide them with employment opportunities, which allows Xtra Supermarkets to open new branches with specialized and trained personnel.

De Rodríguez explained that there are currently three INADEH offices: in Tocumen, Chitré, province of Herrera, and in Chiriquí, and he announced that these training sessions will soon be carried out at the offices of the provinces of Coclé and Veraguas.

For her part, Mariela Salgado, Director in Charge of INADEH, while highlighting the importance of this alliance for the training of specialized personnel in the retail industry, explained that those who want to participate in these trainings must register in the centers of the institution of the entity for the courses that start from next July 1.
