They postpone treatment of the project that urges to suspend controversial tender in Petropar

Hoy Paraguay

During the ordinary session held this Thursday, the Senate analyzed among one of its items on the agenda the draft declaration “Which urges Petróleos Paraguayos (Petropar) to present to the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) the cancellation of the call with ID 410945”.

It is specifically about Call for tenders for the “Hiring of a specialized firm to support the management of temporary human resources”in which a maximum expenditure of G. 48,600,715,239 (equivalent to more than USD 7 million) is expected.

The millionaire hiring aims to incorporate personnel through outsourcing, this in the middle of the electoral campaign with a view to the general elections of 2023.

This tender was the reason for two questions against the head of Petropar, Denis Lichi, since he is currently involved in his own proselytizing campaign as a candidate for Governor of Cordillera.

The call is given with the excuse of opening new service stations, for which the hiring of personnel is required. However, Petropar currently has a valid contract with the company Dynamus, which is in charge of carrying out these incorporations.

Finally, the plenary session of the Senate voted in favor of postponing for a period of 15 days the treatment of the draft declaration that urges Petropar to cancel the controversial tender.

The entrance They postpone treatment of the project that urges to suspend controversial tender in Petropar was first published in diary TODAY.
