Horacio Rodriguez Larretasent a project to the Buenos Aires Legislature in which it requests the expansion of the 2022 budget, to assume various expenses in the remainder of the year.
The Head of Government Buenos Aires, requested an increase that exceeds $178,000 million, which will be used mainly in the payment of salaries, health, education and security expenses, according to the proposal that bears the signature of Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.
The details of the initiative will be socialized this Friday at 11:00 before the deputies of the Budget Commission by the undersecretary of the Treasury of Buenos Aires, Gustavo Arengo Piragine, according to the Government of Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.
The document explains that “the modification amounts to $178,552,776,563, of which some $63,242,903,864 will be allocated to salary agreements carried out to date with the different union organizations that represent the workers of the City.
Regarding the concept of consumer goods, the proposal indicates that $8,292,329,851 will be “destined, mainly, to the acquisition of medicines and other supplies for the Health System, dairy products destined for the Ministry of Education, and fuels and lubricants assigned to the Ministry of Justice and Security”.
In addition, “as a capital contribution to the state society Ecological Coordination of the Metropolitan Area (Ceamse), the incorporation of financial assets for $4,978,194,979 is expected.”
Likewise, “the incorporation of $1,588,978,460 in disbursements from multilateral credit organizations is contemplated for the financing of works in progress” this year.
Why is a budget increase requested?
The proposal of Goverment’s head porteño argues that the expansion of the budget seeks “to solve credit problems without affecting the sustainability of public accounts”.
For this, “the incorporation of the amounts from the estimate of the increase in tax collection, non-tax collection and financial sources” is contemplated.
