The draft General State Budget (PGE) 2022 provides for the category “Presidential Aircraft Management” of the Ministry of the Presidency an amount that exceeds what was budgeted for that same item in the management of former President Evo Morales.
The resources allocated for the category “Presidential Aircraft Management” in the PGE 2022 amount to 38,005,357 Bolivians. The aircraft was acquired in 2010 and since 2014 this category has been included in the budget of the Ministry of the Presidency.
For 2014, 16 million bolivianos were budgeted, for 2015 the amount amounted to 20,372,358. In 2016, 2017 and 2018 the same budget was budgeted as in 2015. For 2019 and 2020 there was a slight decrease with 20,322,858 Bolivians. For 2021, the budgeted amount decreased to 18,290,572 Bolivians.
Alejandro Reyes, deputy of the Citizen Community (CC), affirmed that the resources allocated to the use of the presidential plane, such as communication, point to the objective of proselytizing. He regretted that they are not seeking to use them efficiently.
“We are not making efficient and effective use of the few resources that Bolivians have and, of course, we are not focusing on health or justice, which are a priority and a national emergency,” he said.
Meanwhile, deputy Patricio Mendoza, head of the MAS group, said that Arce must move to different places and communities in Bolivia, given that his work “is heavy.”
“The President has to move, now more than ever, everywhere, just to be able to improve income and meet the needs,” said the official legislator.
