Carreira assures that the call centers would give the national employment opportunity, with an investment of less than 1% of the net profits that the banks receive per year.

A request for banks with a Panamanian license to establish their call centers or call centers in the national territory, and generate jobs for Panamanians, made the president of the Unity Movement, Francisco Carreira Pitti, through a letter addressed to the Superintendent of Banks, Amaury Castillo,

In the letter, Carreira exhorted the superintendent to dialogue with the banking sector, so that they establish their call centers in our country in which they deal with claims or collection calls from clients.

Carreira stressed that this service is currently outside the national territory, so last May he made this public proposal that would help create jobs for Panamanians.

“It is true that there is no law that prohibits doing this type of contractions; however, it is unheard of that these large corporations that obtain millions of dollars in profits, prefer to establish this service in other countries and not generate jobs in the country where they are established”, he criticized.

Carreira described as “irresponsible and absurd” that the Superintendence of Banks grants a license to carry out operations in Panama and an important part of the activities are not developed here, exporting jobs that are needed today in the country.
