Arequipa: Alleged attack on Atico mining leaves 20 injured and some missing (VIDEO)

A new alleged attack the miners in the camp were searched this morning Calpa Reborn in the Attic district, province of Caravelí in Arequipa, with the balance of approximately 20 people injured and 2 missing.

According to the complaint filed by the attorney for Calpa Reborn, Isaias Challco Figueroa, the attack occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. when gas was allegedly left inside the mine.

According to the document, the complaint was filed directly against the manager of the mining concession of Inti Gold Mining, Rossana Calnet Guazzoti and against the miners of Atico Calpa, for attempting against the life and health of the workers.

The president of the Association of Artisanal Miners Calpa Renace was the one who contacted the lawyer by telephone, requesting the filing of the complaint for the alleged attack.

The miners were transferred to the health centers and to Caravelí, with oxygen balloons, some of them in a critical state of health, because they inhaled gas in the sinkhole.

It should be remembered that the June 2 an attack with long-range firearms occurred and as a result, 14 people died, including miners and personnel who would have been hired as security.
