The city of São Paulo announced the list of blocks registered for Esquenta Carnaval 2022, to be held between July 16 and 17. The Municipal Department of Culture received 296 requests, of which 216 parades are being analyzed by the technical coordination, considering routes and schedules. The event will be in July due to cancellation due to the advance of the covid 19 pandemic in the carnival period.
“Different from the traditional street carnival period, which considers the pre, carnival and post, the Esquenta Carnaval 2022 will be held in just two days. In this way, to better contemplate opportunities for all interested parties, there will be only one parade per block. The new parades will only be accepted for Carnaval de Rua 2023”, said the Municipal Secretary of Culture, in a statement.
The Block Rules Guide and the Visual Communication Manual for Block Sponsors were also released. The list of blocks under analysis can be checked here.
