The Ethics Commission of Congress approved a preliminary question that proposed individualizing the qualification reports against six congressmen from People’s Action syndicated as ‘The children‘ by the lobbyist karelim lopez.
Parliamentarian Jorge Morante Figari (Popular Force) was the one who proposed individualizing the qualification report that declared the investigation against parliamentarians Raúl Felipe Doroteo Carbajo, Elvis Hernán Vergara Mendoza, Juan Carlos Mori Celis, Jorge Luis Flores Ancachi, Jhaec Darwin Espinoza Vargas and Ilich Fredy López Ureña.
This proposal was approved with 13 votes in favor and one against.. The only one who voted not to give the green light to the previous question was the chair of the parliamentary working group, Carol Wallswho also belongs to the bench of People’s Action.

For his part, Morante supported his proposal and explained that it is intended to guarantee the legitimacy of the process and the due process of defense.
“In order to guarantee the legitimacy of the process and the due process of defense, I request that each of them be charged for the acts they actually did and avoid future procedural or constitutional issues.. I ask for a preliminary question so that this report is redone and that there be an individual one for each one”, he stated during the session.
In that sense, he emphasized that the aim is to prevent any judicial questioning of the reports to be issued in the future. In addition, he assured that this is not an attempt to shield ‘The children‘.
As recalled, the six congressmen from People’s Action are investigated by the Public Ministry for alleged favoring in the tenders awarded to companies in the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) during the management of Juan Silva.
Likewise, the former prosecutor of the Nation, Pablo Sánchez, imposed a nine-month ban on leaving the country against Darwin Espinoza Vargas and Raúl Doroteo Carbajo.
