The report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health reveals for today a decrease in active cases as a result of Covid-19 and a slight decrease in the percentage of positivity compared to yesterday.
According to the report, 915,923 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 are reported in the country, of which 866 are new positive cases today. For the last 24 hours, one death has been reported for a cumulative of 8,348 deaths and a lethality of 0.9%, one of the lowest in the region.
The total number of recovered from the disease amounts to 893,422 people, of which 1,858 were added as newly recovered. In the last few hours, 4,807 tests were applied for a positivity rate of 18%.
Active cases amount to 14,148 with a decrease compared to yesterday. Active cases are spread over 13,918 in home isolation and 230 hospitalized.
Those who are in isolation are divided into 13,906 at home and 12 in hotels, while those hospitalized are 195 in the Ward and 35 in the ICU.
The districts with the highest number of cases reported today are Bethania with 49; San Francisco (Panama) with 44, Rufina Alfaro 38; Juan Díaz (Panama) 37 and Ancón 31 cases.
