Governments of India and Cuba agree to open a million dollar line of credit

Also during this session, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) of Cuba and his Indian counterpart agreed to evaluate the fruitfulness of the political consultations and exchanged on issues of common interest and the regional and international agenda, adds the report.

A note published by the Cuban Foreign Ministry and reviewed by the Acn refers that the officials ratified the will to strengthen bilateral collaboration in areas such as health, biotechnology, renewable energy sources, agriculture, telecommunications, sports and education.

At the meeting they discussed the confrontation with COVID-19, the economic recovery and agreement and support in international forums in defense of multilateralism, the principles of International Law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The Cuban deputy foreign minister thanked the historic position assumed by India in rejecting the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government on the largest of the Antilles, says the publication.

The ACN recalls that India, within the Asia and Oceania region, has remained one of Cuba’s top 20 trading partners and has granted important lines of credit for the execution of projects in the agricultural and energy sectors. renewable.
