Punta Cana – The Dominican Association of Free Zones (ADOZONA) donated half a million pesos to Save the Children Dominican. The contribution will be allocated to literacy programs that support the development of reading skills in boys and girls.
The foundation will use these funds to benefit children in need for causes related to education. Save the Children has more than 40 years of experience in community work at the national level focused on the guarantee and promotion of children’s rights.

“I urge all businessmen to make their investment in childhood and education, because today’s children are the reflection of what our people will be tomorrow. We are very grateful for this donation and we hope to continue collaborating together for a better future,” added Díaz.
Every year, through the collections received in its traditional golf tournament, ADOZONA allocates part of its income to causes that have an impact on the well-being of the communities where the activity takes place.
Luis José Bonilla, president of the Adozona, assured that for the association it is a priority to give a helping hand to communities in need and especially to the future of children.
On this occasion, the donation was made within the framework of the “ADOZONA Business & Golf Weekend International 2022” award ceremony held at the Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana.
The Adozona Cup is considered the most important business tournament in the Dominican Republic. On this occasion, it was attended by Frank Elías Rainieri, president of Grupo Puntacana, who highlighted the success that free zones have had and the impact of that sector, by as well as the tourism sector, in the development of the Dominican economy and in the generation of jobs at the national level.
Also present at the event was Luis Lembert, Executive Vice President of Personal and Business Banking at Banco BHD León; Daniel Liranzo, executive director of the CNZFE; Johannes Kelner, deputy director general of the General Directorate of Customs; Rafael Santos, Infotep Director, among others.
