Inigo Peralta became known in 2011, after he became mayor of VES with only 26 years of age, after Santiago Mozo Quispe was vacated from office by the commune when it became known that he had a conviction for the crime of tax fraud.
The politician served in position until mid-December 2014date on which the JNE decided to reset the credentials of Waiter Quispe by provision of a judgment of the Superior Court of Justice of Lima.
