After an extra long weekend for the holiday June 17 and 20, next Monday 27 some citizens will rest again, since it will be a non-working day for some sectors.
This, given that through Law 26,876, June 27 was established as the State Worker’s Day, for which it will be a day holiday for public workers. Meanwhile, the rest of the citizens will have to wait until August to enjoy the next working day festive.
According to the aforementioned law, a “rest day” will be given to all employees of the national public administrationso this day will be holiday for this sector of the population and no job tasks will be presented.
In this sense, the measure applies to those who work in national, provincial and municipal agencies, as referred to in article 3 of Law 26,876, which was passed in 2013.
“The provinces and municipalities of the entire Republic will establish June 27 as a day of rest in the respective public administrations, with the effects provided in article 2 of this law.”
The measure reaches state workers from the central administration, decentralized state workers, teachers and assistants, health workers, security workers, the judiciary and university students.
This in turn means that all state agencies and offices will remain closed on Mondaydue to the suspension of work activities.
