At the height of Marhuanta, Ciudad Bolívar, the bodies of three fishermen who had been missing since last Sunday, June 19, were rescued on Friday afternoon, according to police sources.

They are José Luis Grillet, Carlos Barrios and Irma Moronta, who along with three others had boarded a fishing boat on Sunday June 19 in El Palmar, Boca del Pao parish, Francisco de Miranda municipality (Pariaguán), Anzoátegui.

That boat was shipwrecked in the vicinity of El Almacén, near Ciudad Bolívar, when they were already returning from their fishing work and heading to the Nueva Guayana sector.

Three of the occupants survived and reported the disappearance of their other three companions. It transpired that the rescue of the three deceased was carried out by other fishing workers.
