The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a warning for winds, waves and rip currents in the Panamanian Caribbean, until December 10.
Sinaproc indicated that the areas under surveillance with wave heights up to 3.0 meters are Guna Yala, Colón, Veraguas Norte, Bocas del Toro and Comarca Ngäbe Buglé.
Faced with strong waves or maximum tides, Sinaproc recommended that the population avoid activities in coastal areas, if light boats are going to set sail, have personal flotation devices and communication radio, and to live near coastal areas be aware of the waves.
