Liberal deputies will analyze this Monday request for the expulsion of Celeste Amarilla

In a video released on Friday, Celeste Amarilla, a national deputy for the PLRA, is seen arguing with former senator Dionisio Amarilla through a conversation using telematic means. In the material, she acknowledges having paid bribes and it is understood that it was to win school lunch tenders, which is the area to which the current legislator dedicated herself years ago.

Antonio Buzarquis, national deputy for the PLRA (bench “L”), expressed that the expulsion of Celeste Amarilla will not be easy. And he warned that if it materializes, there will be an attack on the institutional framework of the Lower House.

“The loss of a parliamentarian is due to improper use of influence or a proven punishable act. So in his case I don’t know that there is a cause, ”he said.

He affirmed that if a punishable act or indecent conduct was committed, he has to go whether he is Liberal or Colorado.

“But if Celeste committed any kind of misconduct, she has to go. And I am aware of the misconduct of other legislators who also have to go. It cannot be that because she is co-religionist she protects some and not others”, she stated.

Finally, he said that they usually meet on Tuesdays, but taking into account this case, it is most likely that they will meet on Monday.

“We listen to journalistic publications. You have to see the evidence. We must see in what context he issued those opinions or if he committed a ‘sincericide’”, she concluded.
