The criminal investigation, in its preliminary stage is reserved, it ceases to be reserved when it goes to public trial. But what happens today? That in these investigations, the reserved information is quickly disclosed to the public and sometimes selecting the information for the purpose of imputing the commission of crimes”, indicated Anibal Torres.
“That should not happen, and that is why we are presenting this bill to the Congress of the Republic so that this form of, practically, commercializing reserved criminal information ends, and is punished with up to four years of imprisonment”, he added.
