The Minister of the Interior, Dimitri Senmache, referred this Friday to the motion of censure presented against him in Congress and said that he will accept what that power of the State “pleases decide.”
In a press conference from the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the head of the Ministry indicated that he will work in the sector until the Parliament and the president so decide peter castle.
“There is a process in Congress of censorship towards my censorship, which I, like all democrats, will accept whatever Congress sees fit to decide, it is a power of Congress”he expressed.
“I have informed the Prime Minister and all my fellow ministers that we are going to work until Congress decides and until the President of the Republic decides”Senmache added.
Last Thursday the bench of Fuerza Popular obtained the necessary signatures to present a motion of censure against the Minister of the Interior for the flight of the former head of Transport and Communications John Silva and deaths from clashes between artisanal miners in Caravelí, Arequipa region.
The document bears the signatures of 34 legislators, the majority of Popular Force, Advance Country and Popular Renewalin addition to Karol Paredes (Popular Action), Kira Alcaraz (Somos Peru), Gladys Echaíz and Roberto Chiabra (both from Alliance for Progress).
The motion accuses the head of the Ministry of “omission of functions and management incapacity” after the clashes in the Arequipa district of Atico, which to date have left 14 dead.
Also, he is accused of “serious functional responsibility” by “inaction and laziness” to locate and capture fugitives Juan Silva Villegas, Bruno Pacheco and Fray Vasquez Castillonephew of the president peter castle.
“On the contrary, it has transferred the responsibility to the Public Ministry, ignoring that actions related to internal order and public order are the primary and exclusive competence of the ministry in charge”he points out.
Also consider “reprehensible” that the minister has stated that he could not follow up on John Silva because that required a court order, “Forgetting on the one hand that it had the responsibility for video surveillance” and that the security of the State assigned to the former minister was under the jurisdiction of his sector.
“The events that have occurred are sufficient reasons for the current Minister of the Interior to leave the ministerial office before, due to his incompetence and inaction, more tragedies continue to occur in the country that destabilize the Nation”he emphasizes.
